i'd been searching for a console table for the entryway for months. almost all of them seemed to be designed for people in big houses. they were way too wide for a small apartment. so i gave my dad some examples of the kind of furniture i like (mostly stuff from design within reach and west elm and places like that) and the dimensions. he did a great job!

on the shelves sit a few other gifts (a big mug for my coffee/tea, a few other bright mugs, and the eyeball scissor holder.) pixel enjoys climbing on it.

i sent my grandma a pattern and some material and asked her to sew me this laptop-sized bag.

she picked the button. it matches the lining material pretty well.
