during the holidays you can purchase a card from usps, type in your message, and they'll print it and mail it for you. are there any services that do the same thing for regular letters? i know that sounds incredibly lazy, but all my boxes are packed and i have no idea where my stamps are.. i don't have time to go to the post office, and i need to mail a physical letter. however, the contents of the letter aren't really suitable for a greeting card.
