i feel like i've asked this before, but i can't find the damn post. is there a functional search engine for lj? i added that search my last 50 entries tool to my userinfo and that helps somewhat, but i'm often trying to find something i posted years ago.

what magazines/newspapers do you subscribe to?

me: xlr8r, ready made, tape op, computer music, resonance, grooves, new york times. i cancelled my urb subscription when it started sucking but they've been trying to woo me back by sending progressively lower and lower re-subscribe prices. same with wired (well, except it didn't start sucking). i subscribed to & liked nest until it died. i occasionally consider adding bitch, bust, and dwell. i buy single issues of adbusters & bpm occasionally.

what i *haven't* found is a fashion magazine that i like. i like some of the clothes in "normal" women's magazines, but i can't stand that "how to get him to pay attention to your ass" & weight loss tips crap. i'm interested in one that would profile indie designers that people could actually afford or projects like don't skirt the issue. i'd like one that was more like an architecture/industrial design magazine except for clothes vs. one which read like one 50-page advertisement.
