i donate to livejournal more out of a desire to support the site than out of wanting new features. even though i'm a member of paidmembers i haven't been watching it and rarely read it.

today i read it for the first time in awhile and discovered that there's now a pingback feature that notifies you when another paid user links to an entry you posted. if you pay for lj and you're willing to link to this post temporarily for purposes of testing, that would be awesome.

you can also now order your friends list by day. i have so many people on my friendslist that if i don't have time to read lj for a short period i often get so many posts that i can't click "previous" anymore, so that rocks.

other features i was unaware of:

- view someone else's journal in your own style if the one they picked is hideous/hard to read
- view only the entries you posted friends-only or to a private group
