flexcar is in a time magazine article. that's pretty cool. it's such a good concept. i just wish there was a way that you could pick one up at one location and return it to another location. if that was possible, they could be used for commuting.
spent last night moving crap again until 1am and i'm still not done. woke up at 6am, unable to go back to sleep. the new place is not looking so hot at the moment. moving from room to room is a challenge.
my car's hosed.. something about the cv boots. i don't know anything about cars. it had been making a terrible rattling every time i turn corners. last night the sound changed to a shrieky noise. that freaked me out, so i decided i needed to bring it in today. p. was s'posed to pick me up and drive me to work. i called repeatedly and he didn't answer the phone. it's actually important that i be at work by 9. i've been late a lot lately. i started freaking out and walked down the street and rented a pt cruiser.
i adore little-car. but she *is* a '91 civic. she groans and strains when i try to drive faster than 75. unfortunately, that's meant that i've gotten a speeding ticket nearly every time i've rented a car. (my last one was $400 canadian. not that i paid it. but now i can never drive in ontario again. ;) so on the way to work i had to keep looking down and braking to keep it under 80. i don't think i'd ever buy a new car; i don't really approve of car culture. but it sure is fun to drive one now and then.
p. called on the way. i explained. he said disapprovingly "those things look like sporty hearses."
